Business Transformation Directorate (BTD) – This directorate is responsible for a wide array of business transformation efforts that include business process reengineering, detailed mapping of Army business processes and Lean Six Sigma improvement methods. The BTD manages the Business Systems Information Technology investment and certification process and the overall Information Technology (IT) governance processes. The BTD also manages the Army’s Lean Six Sigma Program. The Directorate comprises five divisions: Human Capital, Acquisition/Logistics, Finance, Installation & Services, and Business Management.

Business Operations Directorate (BOD) –This directorate assists the Army with implementing an integrated management system, integrating business initiatives across the Army enterprise, conducting performance measurements/assessment of business activities, responding to Government Accountability Office (GAO) reports or inquiries, and supporting the Army’s Senior Leader Development Course. This directorate also works to support a major objective of the Army Campaign Plan (ACP), Strengthen Financial Management, (ACP 9.5). The directorate comprises four divisions: Performance and Assessment; Strategic Management System; Business Initiatives and Integration; and Mission Support.

Business Innovation Directorate (BID) – This directorate studies and recommends industry best business practices for Army human capital, materiel, and Soldier and Family services. The BID, using innovative intellectual analysis, develops strategic direction for Army business transformation activities. The BID analyzes Congressional, OSD and other federal agency business transformation-related legislation and reports.
